What happens when you ring

One of us answers, not an answering service. We will ask you to describe what you can see and, in most cases, talk you through shutting off the right valve so the damage stops while we are still driving.

We give you an arrival window we actually intend to keep and ring before setting off. If we are going to be late you hear it from us first.

Calls we treat as emergencies

• Burst or split supply pipe, anywhere in the house
• No water at all to the property
• A leak you can only stop by shutting off the main
• Sewage backing up into a bath or shower
• Water heater leaking from the tank body
• Gas smell — though ring the gas company first, then us
